Supervisor, Client Administration and Rates
Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 p.m. (overtime as required).
The Rates Analyst will provide support to Billing Partners and Client Account Coordinators as well as other Accounting staff by implementing and maintaining the Firm’s complex billing rate arrangements.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Works with partners and other firm management to implement annual rate structures and inputs data into Aderant Expert Rates with a high degree of accuracy
- Coordinates with team to assist with day-to-day operations, including ad-hoc requests, as well as timekeeper rate changes and client administrative maintenance
- Creates timekeeper rate charts for partner and firm management review
- Assists with updating documentation related to client, matter and firm billing rates
- Researches and responds to requests from partners and other accounting staff on rate related inquiries
- Understand how attorney ranks/class year and seniority increases are built into rate structures
- Assists with matter creation process, monitoring rates and compliance with client billing guidelines
- Creates and maintains both internal and client required task-based billing matter plans
- Implements split billing arrangements when needed
- Complies with and understands Firm’s operation, policies and procedures
- Strong background and knowledge of major law firm billing and rate processes required
- Demonstrates close attention to detail

- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
- B.S. in Accounting or related field preferred
- Previous experience (3 to 5 years) as a rates analyst, billing coordinator, or related position at a major law firm required
- Experience using Aderant software preferred
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
