Manager, Business Development
Monday through Friday, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (additional hours as required)
The Business Development team supports the firm across a broad spectrum of new business and client relationship-building activities, including the creation of new business proposals and firm marketing materials, upkeep of the databases that track firm experience and client information, competitive and market intelligence, and coordination of client events.
The Coordinator, Business Development is an integral part of the team and works with the Manager, Business Development, and lawyers in the FIG group on a variety of marketing and business development activities.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain matter databases and recording updates for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of pitchbooks, RFP responses, placemats, experience lists and other client/prospect marketing materials and track opportunity outcomes
- Assist with identifying, planning and managing sponsorships and practice participation in conferences and industry events
- Maintain, update and grow the suite of practice marketing materials and lawyer biographies
- Update print and digital marketing materials to ensure content reflects the substantive strengths, accomplishments and current activities of the Real Estate and Environmental groups
- Coordinate the scheduling and submission of legal directories, awards and related industry guides (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR)
- Assist with competitive and market intelligence research, used to update attorneys on peer firms and market trends and developments
- Coordinate with the PR & Communications and Digital Marketing teams to promote and raise the visibility of the practices and lawyers through external communications on the Firm’s website and social media
- Process daily deals and cases (D&Cs) to ensure proper content assembly, formatting and timely submission
- Excellent organizational and project management skills

- Ability to maintain professional composure in high- pressure situations and a fast-paced, multi-authority environment
- Highly motivated, responsive and conscientious, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service
- A sharp eye for detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Marketing preferred
- Minimum two years of law firm or other professional services firm experience preferred
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
