We advised Ark & Partners on the transaction

Davis Polk advised Ark & Partners in connection with its tender offer for all of the issued and outstanding shares of Soomgo, Inc. The transaction was completed in September 2024.

Ark & Partners was founded in 2020 by seasoned private equity veterans with a clear vision to establish a premier, next-generation private equity firm in the Republic of Korea. Ark & Partners seeks to invest in growth-oriented, innovative companies through a deeply hands-on buyout approach.

Soomgo, Inc. owns a controlling interest in Brave Mobile, whose main line of business is operating an online marketplace platform that connects customers with local service providers across over 1,000 service segments such as moving, cleaning, lessons, wedding planning, photography and more. Brave Mobile (including through its affiliates) previously raised approximately KRW 50 billion in capital from investors such as Y Combinator, IMM Investment, Atinum Investment, TBT Partners and Korea Development Bank.
