Davis Polk advised Cogent Partners, LP in connection with its acquisition by Greenhill & Co., Inc. for total consideration of up to $97.6 million. The transaction, which is subject to receipt by Greenhill of applicable regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, is expected to close around the end of the first quarter of 2015.

Cogent Partners is a global financial adviser to pension funds, endowments and other institutional investors on the secondary market for alternative assets. Greenhill is an independent investment bank focused on providing financial advice on significant mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financings and capital raising to corporations, partnerships, institutions and governments.
