Davis Polk advised the Los Angeles Dodgers ownership group on the creation of a joint venture, and the entry into various associated commercial agreements, between affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Eventellect LLC, relating to the sale of tickets to Los Angeles Dodgers home games during the 2018 Major League Baseball season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are a Major League Baseball franchise located in Los Angeles, California, and playing in the National League. Eventellect is a business-to-business brand that builds customized solutions for sports and entertainment properties to manage tickets on various secondary market sales channels such as StubHub and SeatGeek.

The Davis Polk corporate team included counsel Matthew J. Bacal and associate Nicholas C. Phillips. Counsel Ethan R. Goldman provided tax advice. All members of the Davis Polk team are based in the New York office.
