Davis Polk is advising Metalmark Capital in connection with its acquisition of a minority interest in Valagro S.p.A. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Metalmark Capital is a leading private equity firm whose principals have a long track record of successful investing in targeted sectors, with particular expertise and focus in industrials, energy and health care. Valagro is an Italian company in the business of developing, manufacturing and selling a range of biostimulants and nutrient solutions that complement conventional agricultural inputs.
