Davis Polk is advising Emerson Electric Co. on its $1.6 billion acquisition of Open Systems International, Inc.

Emerson, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a global technology and engineering company providing innovative solutions for customers in industrial, commercial and residential markets. Open Systems International, headquartered in Minnesota, is an industry leader in operations technology solutions and provides software to utility companies in the electric generation, transmission, distribution and renewables industries.
