Davis Polk is advising JB Financial Group Co., Ltd. on its acquisition of Morgan Stanley Gateway Securities J.S.C. (“MSGS”) from Morgan Stanley (Singapore) Holdings Pte. Ltd., Thanh Ba Company Limited and the chief executive officer of MSGS for 382.4 billion Vietnamese dong (US$16.5 million). The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

JBFG is one of the leading financial institutions in the Republic of Korea and is listed on the Korean Stock Exchange. MSGS provides investment banking services including advisory, brokerage and research and principal investing services in Vietnam.
