Davis Polk advised the international joint lead managers in connection with LaSalle LOGIPORT REIT’s global IPO of investment units. The global IPO consisted of an offering in Japan and an international offering outside Japan pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. LaSalle LOGIPORT REIT sold 1,050,800 units in the global offering for aggregate proceeds of approximately ¥106.2 billion (approximately $935 million). LaSalle LOGIPORT REIT’s investment units are expected to be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on February 17, 2016.

 

LaSalle LOGIPORT REIT is a Japanese real estate investment corporation, or J-REIT, sponsored by LaSalle Investment Management Inc., an affiliate of U.S.-based Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated which is one of the world’s largest real estate investment management firms. The REIT intends to acquire an initial portfolio of eight logistics facilities located within the Tokyo area, and expects that at least 80% of its future portfolio will comprise logistics facilities located in the Tokyo and Osaka areas.
