Millicom £50 million sale of shares in Helios Towers
Davis Polk has advised Millicom Holding, B.V., a subsidiary of Millicom International Cellular SA, on the sale of 25% of its holding in Helios Towers plc for gross proceeds of approximately £50 million by way of an accelerated bookbuild offering. Following the sale, Millicom retains a 12.15% stake.
Founded in 2009, Helios Towers is a UK-based telecommunications company, which owns mobile communications towers across five countries in sub-Saharan Africa. It listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2019 (with Davis Polk advising Millicom as the largest shareholder) and is now a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
The Davis Polk corporate team included partner Reuven B. Young. All members of the Davis Polk team are based in the London office.
