Davis Polk is advising an options exchange and an operator of options and securities exchanges in Tax Court cases involving the domestic production activities deduction.

The deduction, under section 199 of the Internal Revenue Code, was available for more than a decade before being repealed by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
