We advised Lightyear Capital on the transaction

Davis Polk advised Lightyear Capital, LLC in connection with Ygrene Energy Fund Inc.’s Series C funding round, with participation from Virgo Investment Group.

Founded in 2000, Lightyear is a financial services-focused private equity firm based in New York. Through its affiliated private equity funds, Lightyear makes primarily control investments in North America-based, middle-market companies associated with financial services, including asset management and wealth management, banks and brokerage, commercial and consumer finance, financial technology, healthcare financial services, insurance and tech-enabled business services.

Ygrene Energy Fund is a provider of residential, multifamily and commercial property assessed clean energy financing. Ygrene’s property improvement financing, with built-in consumer protections, delivers greater choice for home and business owners by providing access to affordable financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, storm protection and seismic upgrades.

The Davis Polk corporate team included partner Michael Davis and associate Yoel Levi. The tax team included partner Ethan R. Goldman. All members of the Davis Polk team are based in the New York office.
