The Report on the Financial Panic of 2008 and Financial Regulatory Reform
The Task Force on the Financial Crisis of the International Bar Association (“IBA”), whose members are seasoned practitioners in the field of bank regulation, issued a report on the Financial Panic of 2008 and Financial Regulatory Reform in eight countries, including the United States. The report looks at the emergency measures used to respond to the crisis and the new laws and regulations adopted to prevent a future crisis or at least to mitigate its effects.
