Jifree co-leads our restructuring practice in London. He advises clients on all facets of restructuring and insolvency and has deep experience working on matters across the UK, Europe, MENA, Latin America and Asia. He works with private equity firms, hedge funds, investment banks and other distressed debt and par investors, providing advice on their investment portfolios. He also regularly advises debtors and has been lead debtor counsel on a number of market-leading cases.

Jifree is widely recognized as a leading restructuring practitioner, including in the Legal 500 UK and Chambers UK, where a client notes that he is “a superstar” who “has been highly impactful on very complex transactions.”

  • Advising Atento on its successful English Restructuring Plans
  • Zhongliang Holdings Group on the successful restructuring of its approximately $1.2 billion of offshore debt
  • Coupang in the completion of its acquisition of the business and assets of Farfetch Holdings via a pre-packaged administration
  • Sunac China Holdings in its $10.2 billion offshore debt restructuring
  • H.I.G. Capital in respect to the restructuring of its portfolio company Cabonline Group Holding, with respect to its financial indebtedness owed to a consortium of Nordic and international institutional investors

  • Merced Capital on the restructuring and acquisition of the Telford Offshore Group

  • RDL Realisation, a premium listed investment fund, on its proposals to accelerate the repayment of the zero dividend preference shares issued by its subsidiary RDLZ Realisation
