Katy’s practice focuses on regulatory and internal investigations, as well as commercial litigation. She advises a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, hedge funds, listed companies and accounting firms.
Experience
- Advising international financial institutions on regulatory matters, including conducting internal investigations, responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations, and their compliance with rules and regulations issued by the SFC and the HKMA
- Advising international financial institutions on licensing matters
- Defending a listed manufacturer with respect to conspiracy to injure claims arising from a high-valued, cross-border investment
- Representing a leading international accounting firm in Hong Kong against potential audit negligence claims
- Advising a leading international accountancy firm on an AFRC investigation regarding irregularities in respect of the preparation of an accountants’ report of a listed company
- Advising a special investigation committee of a listed company on an internal investigation into misconducts of its directors and senior management
- Advising private equity investors and funds on anti-money laundering, economic sanctions and anti-corruption due diligence for investments in Asia
