Davis Polk Northern California office co-heads Alan Denenberg and Neal Potischman discussed the firm’s new Northern California office location in Redwood City with The Recorder.

In the interview, Alan and Neal highlighted the remarkable design features of the new space, including the robust soundproofing and improved technology to conference rooms and common spaces.

“There’s certainly an undercurrent of making offices more attractive and inviting for people,” Alan explained. “When people do come to the office, having come back from work from home, [after] the COVID environment, you want it to be in an attractive setting.” He went on to say that the new office provides “a very soothing, homey, gentle environment.”

Neal noted that the proximity to a commuter rail was key. “There’s been a lot of people who are now open to the idea that they have different commuting options,” he said, adding the reaction to being closer to Caltrain has been “uniformly positive.”
