Davis Polk partner and co-head of the White Collar Defense & Investigations practice Angela Burgess has been named among Global Investigations Review’s Top 2021 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Practitioners. GIR highlights Angela’s FCPA work throughout her career on some of most important foreign bribery settlements in history – notably for Siemens, a seminal settlement that became a roadmap for international cooperation on corruption matters.

Since the Siemens case, Angela has represented corporations including BHP Billiton and Swedish telecoms company Telia in other important FCPA settlements. GIR also highlights her recent work guiding Colombian financial group Grupo Aval through U.S. investigations into allegations of corruption concerning a major Colombian highway construction project.
