Davis Polk was honored at the 2024 Bonds & Loans “Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets Africa Awards” in connection with the firm’s role as counsel to the joint lead managers on Sasol’s debut $1 billion notes offering, which was named “High Yield Debt Deal of the Year.”

The awards recognize the most innovative and ground-breaking deals from Africa. The selection process involves close examination of deal size, tenor, structure, and distribution; analysis and background of the borrower and their accessibility to financing; with extra credit for those deals demonstrating high quality execution, accessing new pools of liquidity, innovative structuring and opening-up new markets.

The awards will be presented on March 6, 2024, in Cape Town.
