Davis Polk won five awards at the 2021 Euromoney Women in Business Law Americas Awards, which honor the achievements and contributions of leading women lawyers and the diversity and inclusion initiatives of law firms across the Americas.

Davis Polk received the awards for:

  • “Innovative Initiative Firm of the Year” in recognition of the firm’s innovative and comprehensive approach to supporting the well-being of our employees during the pandemic, including a focus on the additional challenges faced by parents and caregivers while working remotely.
  • “Best Talent Management – North American Firm” in recognition of the firm’s: focus on recruiting a diverse team, which led to a 2020 summer associate class of over 50% women; commitment to equity of opportunity for women lawyers; and leadership opportunities available to women associates, including through affinity groups.
  • “Work-Life Balance – North American Firm” in recognition of the firm’s commitment to helping employees maintain their physical, mental and financial well-being throughout the pandemic. For example, the firm hosted a virtual Broadway performance and offers virtual programming on physical, mental and financial health, virtual meditation, yoga and cooking classes, and a variety of resources relating to educating and engaging children.

In addition, Davis Polk partner Deanna Kirkpatrick was named “Equity Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year” and partner Jai Massari was named “Financial Regulation Lawyer of the Year.”

The Women in Business Law Americas Awards were presented on September 29, 2021.
