Davis Polk partner Joe Hall was quoted in the Financial Times on the role of the SEC and other government agencies in regulating cryptocurrencies. In response to an analogy comparing cryptocurrencies to baseball cards, Joe said, “If people take all their retirement savings and start trading Topps baseball cards, maybe the government should step in and say ‘let’s make sure the market for baseball cards is fair’.”
