Leor Landa featured on AmLaw’s Legal Speak podcast
Davis Polk partner and Investment Management practice head was featured on the American Lawyer’s Legal Speak podcast discussing the current state of private equity exits and how increased hold times have created a flurry of activity in other types of transactions, such as fund finance and secondaries, as sponsors look for ways to return capital to their investors.
Discussing the secondaries market, Leor said, “Secondaries was one of the bright spots in fundraising over the last couple of years. One of the bright spots in deal activity. It had record deal activity last year, because if the need is liquidity, the market will find ways to provide liquidity.”
Speaking about how the firm has responded to the growth of private credit, he said, “We’ve built a huge finance business because we think this is where the world is going. If you think about where the firm is oriented, it is shifting in a lot of ways to prioritize private capital resources.”
