Davis Polk partner and Restructuring co-head Marshall Huebner was quoted in Law360 on the bankruptcy cases and trends to watch in 2023. Marshall noted that private capital markets are making financing conditions more difficult, which will lead to distress across a more horizontal spread of industries rather than focused struggles for one particular sector. “I think that compared to other cycles, this time we’re much more likely to see the most challenged 10-20% of companies across a wide array of industries needing to restructure,” he explained.
