Davis Polk partner and Capital Markets co-head Richard Truesdell was quoted in Law360 on the work capital markets attorneys do when public market transactions are slow. Even with few IPOs being listed, attorneys are still advising clients on IPO prospects. “Once the market comes back, you don’t want to be in this long queue of people all waiting to update their documents,” Richard said. “People are deciding that it’s money well spent to update their documents now, so that if and when things turn around, it’s just the market you need to worry about and not the SEC.”
