Davis Polk Mergers & Acquisitions partner Shanu Bajaj was featured on the Original Jurisdiction podcast hosted by David Lat. In the episode, Shanu discusses her decision to pursue M&A, the trait she considers most important for a deal lawyer to have, her own special talent as a transactional attorney, her personal style as a dealmaker, the differences between public and private M&A deals, whether AI is currently playing a role in high-end M&A work and her advice for young lawyers who are hoping to make partner.  

David notes that Shanu was named a 2024 “Dealmaker of the Year” by the American Lawyer for her work advising ExxonMobil in its $59.5 billion acquisition of Pioneer Natural Resources and that MergerLinks named her a top female M&A lawyer in North America for having worked on a staggering $76 billion in deals in 2023.
