On April 26 and 27, 2023, Davis Polk partner and Tax head David Schnabel and partner Ethan Goldman will be among the speakers at Practising Law Institute’s “Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2023” program.

Ethan will speak on the “Compensatory Interests and Other Arrangements” panel on April 26. Topics discussed will include compensation and compensation-related issues, including compensatory options and profits interests.

David will speak on the “Topside Planning for Passthrough Investments by Private Equity Funds” panel on April 27. Topics discussed will include topside planning for private equity investments, including the myriad passthrough, cross-border and other issues involved, including UBTI, ECI, FIRPTA, sovereign investors (Section 892), and exit planning.
