Davis Polk partners Donald Bernstein, Randall Guynn, Brian Resnick and Damian Schaible will be among the speakers at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Annual Spring Meeting on April 19-22, 2018, in Washington DC.

Bernstein will speak on the “Resolution of Systemically Important Financial Institutions (SIFIS)” panel, which will discuss single-point-of-entry resolution strategies under OLA and chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, and proposed amendments the Bankruptcy Code designed to facilitate single-point-of-entry resolution.

At the luncheon presentation, Guynn will discuss international cooperation and cross-border issues impacting single-point-of-entry resolution strategies.

Resnick will moderate the “Obsolescence as a Catalyst” panel, which will explore bankruptcy strategies for clients in distressed industries, whether through a restructuring or a wind-down and liquidation of the company.

Schaible will speak on the “Rights Offering Introduction and Overview” panel, which will provide an overview of rights offerings and issues that frequently arise.
