Davis Polk partner Ronan Harty will be among the speakers at Global Competition Review’s 2018 GCR Live Merger Control conference. The inaugural conference will bring together global enforcers, top practitioners and leading academics to discuss key recent developments in merger control around the world. Harty will speak on the “Theories of harm: have authorities allowed too many mergers to go through?” panel. Topics discussed will include:

  • Should antitrust objectives be broadened to include other considerations, such as impact on employment and impact on SME’s?

  • Should we be looking at the impact on innovation and consumer protection?
