Davis Polk advised the dealer managers in connection with a cash tender offer by AngloGold Ashanti Holdings plc for up to $810 million aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 8.500% notes due 2020. 

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, AngloGold Ashanti is a global gold mining company with a geographically diverse portfolio including 19 operations in 9 countries, as well as several exploration programs in both the established and new gold producing regions of the world.
