We are advising Ankura on the transaction

Davis Polk is advising Ankura Consulting Group, LLC on its acquisition of McLarty Associates. The transaction is expected to close in early January 2022, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

McLarty Associates is the global strategy firm led by former Clinton White House Chief of Staff Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty, III, former Deputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte, and President and Co-Founder Nelson W. Cunningham. Since 1998, MA has built a team of nearly 100 seasoned international specialists to help corporate and non-profit clients manage policy and government issues around the world.

The Davis Polk corporate team includes partner Harold Birnbaum and associates Jerry O’Young and Madeleine Shiff. The executive compensation team includes partner Adam Kaminsky and associate Kerri Thompson. The real estate team includes partner Brian D. Hirsch and associate Gregory D. Crane. Partner Ethan R. Goldman is providing tax advice. The intellectual property and technology transactions team includes partner David R. Bauer and associate Alison T. Chin. All members of the Davis Polk team are based in the New York office.
