We advised ASICS on its global offering

Davis Polk advised ASICS Corporation in connection with the global offering of 85,003,900 shares of its common stock, which included an over-allotment option of 11,087,400 shares. The global offering consisted of an offering in Japan and an international offering outside Japan pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. The shares are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

All of the shares in the global offering were sold by existing shareholders of ASICS. The aggregate proceeds of the global offering are approximately ¥208 billion with full exercise of the over-allotment option (approximately $1.35 billion).

ASICS is one of the world’s leading companies in the global sports market, focused on the manufacturing, marketing and sale of footwear, sports apparel and other products, mainly under the ASICS and Onitsuka Tiger brands.
