Davis Polk advised the managers in connection with a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 3.407% senior notes due 2026 and $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.504% senior notes due 2046 by The Brooklyn Union Gas Company (“Brooklyn Union Gas”).

Based in Brooklyn, New York, Brooklyn Union Gas provides natural gas distribution utility services to approximately 1.2 million customers in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens. Brooklyn Union Gas is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid USA, which in turn is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid plc, an international electricity and natural gas company based in the United Kingdom.
