We are advising Cosan on its tender offer for 7% notes due 2027

Davis Polk advised Cosan S.A. in connection with a cash tender offer by Cosan to purchase up to $250 million aggregate principal amount of its $650 million 7.000% notes due 2027.

Cosan is a leading sugar and ethanol producer, grower of sugarcane, natural gas distributor in Brazil, operator of the largest bulk port terminals in the world, producer of energy from sugarcane, lubricants player in Brazil and one of the largest private landowners in Brazil.

The Davis Polk corporate team included Manuel Garciadiaz, Lourenço Lopes-Sabino and Luis Felipe Sousa. The tax team included William A. Curran, Rachel Lerner and Betsy Johnson. Members of the Davis Polk team are based in the São Paulo and New York offices.
