Cosan corporate restructuring and NYSE listing
We advised Cosan S.A. on a corporate restructuring to simplify Cosan Group’s corporate structure. Cosan S.A.’s former parent and sister entities (Cosan Limited and Cosan Logística S.A., respectively) were merged with and into Cosan S.A., now consolidated as the Cosan Group’s sole holding company, and American depositary shares, evidenced by American depositary receipts, each representing one share of Cosan S.A. were listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “CSAN”.
Cosan is a leading sugar and ethanol producer, grower of sugarcane, natural gas distributor in Brazil, operator of the largest bulk port terminal in the world, producer of energy from sugarcane, lubricants player in Brazil and one of the largest private landowners in Brazil.
