Davis Polk advised Comcast Corporation on its equity stake in, and NBCUniversal Media, LLC on its contractual arrangements related to, the NBC SportsNet Chicago regional sports network. The other parties to the transaction included the owners of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks professional sports teams. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

NBC SportsNet Chicago is a regional sports network that broadcasts regional coverage of professional sports teams in the Chicago metropolitan area and original sports-related news, discussion and entertainment programming.

The Davis Polk corporate team included partner William H. Aaronson and associate Michael Senders. Partner Patrick E. Sigmon provided tax advice. All members of the Davis Polk team are based in the New York office.
