Davis Polk Advises Emerson on Its Sale of ClosetMaid to Griffon Corporation
Davis Polk is advising Emerson Electric Co. on the $260 million sale of its ClosetMaid business to Griffon Corporation. The transaction is expected to close within 30 days.
Emerson, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a technology and engineering company providing solutions for customers in industrial, commercial and residential markets. ClosetMaid has provided home organization and storage systems since 1965. Griffon Corporation is a diversified management and holding company conducting business through wholly owned subsidiaries.
