Davis Polk advised NBC News on its strategic partnership with Euronews, the most-watched international news channel in Europe.

The partnership consists of a significant financial investment in Euronews with NBC News acquiring 25% of the company, with the funding going to support expanded news coverage and programming across Europe. Media Globe Networks will continue to be the majority shareholder in Euronews, and the existing public shareholders will remain in the company and continue to ensure its European focus and sensibility. The company’s TV and digital platforms will ultimately be cobranded EuronewsNBC.

NBC News is part of the NBCUniversal News Group, a division of NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast Corporation.
