Davis Polk Advises Reckitt Benckiser on the Sale of Its Food Division to McCormick
Davis Polk is advising Reckitt Benckiser Group plc on the sale of its Food Division to McCormick & Company Inc. for $4.2 billion in cash, subject to typical purchase price adjustments. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including any applicable regulatory approvals.
Reckitt Benckiser is a global consumer health and hygiene company. Reckitt Benckiser’s Food Division is a leader in the U.S. Condiments market, with a portfolio that includes Frank’s RedHot Hot Sauce, French’s Mustard, French’s Crispy Vegetables and Cattlemen’s BBQ Sauce. McCormick manufactures, markets and distributes spices, seasoning mixes, condiments and other flavorful products to the entire food industry: retail outlets, food manufacturers and foodservice businesses.
