Davis Polk Advises S&P Global on Its Acquisition of Kensho
Davis Polk is advising S&P Global Inc. on its acquisition of Kensho Technologies Inc. for a purchase price of approximately $550 million, net of cash acquired. The consideration to be paid to the equityholders of Kensho will include cash and stock of S&P Global. The transaction, which is expected to close late in the first quarter of 2018 or early in the second quarter of 2018, is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.

Kensho is an award-winning machine intelligence company founded out of Harvard University that applies AI for real-world impact across government and commercial institutions around the world.
