We advised Gersh on the acquisition and the related financing

Davis Polk advised The Gersh Agency, LLC on its acquisition of You First and the related financing arrangements. With this acquisition, Gersh doubles its size to over 600 employees, establishing a global footprint with 22 offices in 14 countries, and positioning Gersh as a player in worldwide sports representation. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1949 by Phil Gersh, Gersh is a leading global entertainment and sports agency, representing a diverse roster of clients across film, television, sports, theater, comedy, branding, publishing and digital media. Following an equity investment from Crestview Partners in 2023, Gersh has accelerated its long-term growth strategy, beginning with the acquisition of the Digital and Alternative departments of the A3 Agency in January and most recently the acquisition of You First.

You First is a global talent agency specializing in sports and entertainment, representing over 1,000 top athletes, entertainers, brands and rights holders worldwide. With a strong presence in soccer and basketball, You First goes beyond athlete representation, actively collaborating with sports leagues and corporations – such as Formula 1, Wrexham FC, Samsung, and Starbucks – to create data-driven marketing campaigns.
