Davis Polk advised the joint lead managers in connection with a Rule 144A / Regulation S offering by Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company of $1.75 billion aggregate amount of 5.800% step-up callable subordinated notes due 2054. The notes are listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

Meiji Yasuda is one of the largest private life insurance companies in Japan, as measured by premium income.
