Davis Polk is representing clients in connection with tax audits by the New York City Department of Finance on the allocation of corporate income to New York City, including in light of recently finalized regulations addressing New York state apportionment promulgated by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

In a recent resolution, Davis Polk secured a complete victory on the allocation of a company’s gains associated with the sale of a subsidiary.
