Republic Services $2.2 billion acquisition of US Ecology

Davis Polk is advising Republic Services, Inc. on its approximately $2.2 billion acquisition of US Ecology, Inc. The transaction was unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory approvals and approval by holders of a majority of the outstanding shares of US Ecology’s common stock.
