Signify Health defeats bid for preliminary injunction in trade-secret dispute
We secured a favorable resolution of all claims on behalf of Signify
Davis Polk successfully defended Signify Health Inc. against trade-secret-misappropriation and other claims brought by CareCentrix Inc. in the District of Delaware. CareCentrix claimed that Signify Health hired a CareCentrix executive to obtain trade secrets and unfairly compete, and it moved for a preliminary injunction. Signify Health strongly denied the trade-secret and other claims. We defended against the preliminary-injunction motion, which we argued in July 2021.
The court denied the preliminary injunction entirely as to Signify in December 2021. Signify had previously agreed to sideline the executive for a year, and the case settled favorably, achieving benefits to the client that far outweighed the cost of defense.
