Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile $750 million green bonds
The 6.5% investment-grade notes are due 2033
Davis Polk advised the representatives of the initial purchasers in connection with the offering by Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) of $750 million aggregate principal amount of its 6.500% notes due 2033. The notes were sold in an offering exempt from registration pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. SQM intends to use the proceeds to finance or refinance eligible green projects.
SQM is one of the world’s largest producers of potassium nitrate, iodine and lithium and also produces specialty plant nutrients, iodine derivatives, lithium derivatives, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and certain industrial chemicals, which are sold in over 110 countries.
