The Cross-border Impact of the Dodd-Frank Act
The third edition of A Practitioner’s Guide to the Regulation of Investment Banking, a guide to the regulation of investment banking activities in the UK, European and international contexts, was recently published.
Several Financial Institutions lawyers from Davis Polk’s London and New York offices contributed the chapter on the cross-border impact of the Dodd-Frank Act. The chapter outlines the effects of the Dodd-Frank Act as of August 2013 on non-U.S. financial institutions and markets in two areas for which the extraterritorial impact is both most developed and likely most important: the Volcker Rule and the new regulation of the over-the-counter derivatives market.
The chapter was authored by senior counsel Patrick S. Kenadjian, partner Annette L. Nazareth and associate Gabriel D. Rosenberg.
