As a two-time American Lawyer Dealmaker of the Year—most recently for his work advising the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve Bank of New York last fall—Davis Polk & Wardwell bankruptcy bigwig Marshall Huebner is no stranger to comparisons that he’s an EMS worker in lawyer’s clothing. But when a Wall Street Journal story about first-day proceedings in the Chrysler bankruptcy mentioned that Huebner had “rushed to the aid of a woman [who fainted] and helped walk her out of the courtroom,” well, we just couldn’t help ourselves.
