Davis Polk today announced that a team of leading fund formation practitioners is joining the firm. Andrew Ahern, Alisa Waxman and Luke Eldridge will join Davis Polk as partners in the Investment Management practice in New York.

Chambers USA recognizes him as a leading lawyer in both private equity fund formation and venture capital fund formation. Clients note that he is “an excellent advisor” and “technically astute, business-oriented and a very effective operator.” Mr. Ahern earned his B.A. from Bucknell University and received a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Ms. Waxman advises sponsors of private investment funds, co-investment funds, separately managed accounts and complex secondaries covering numerous sectors and strategies, including buyout, growth, venture, energy, infrastructure and credit opportunities. She is ranked as a leading private equity fund formation lawyer by Chambers USA, where clients note that she is “smart, business savvy” and “a fantastic lawyer.” She received a B.A. from Temple University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Mr. Eldridge advises sponsors of private investment funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including debt, energy, growth capital, emerging markets and venture capital funds. He is recognized by the Legal 500 US, where clients describe him as “a superb transactional lawyer” with “excellent insights into the private funds and venture capital spaces.” He earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
