Davis Polk advised on over 38,000 deals valued at more than $2.8 trillion over the past two years. This includes industry-shaping M&A transactions such as ExxonMobil’s $59.5B acquisition of Pioneer (2023’s largest deal), Josh Harris’ $6B acquisition of the Washington Commanders (the largest-ever deal for a professional sports franchise), Shearman & Sterling’s merger with Allen & Overy, and UBS’ $3.2B acquisition of Credit Suisse, and multiple multibillion-dollar deals for private equity clients, including Francisco Partners and TPG’s $6.5 billion acquisition of New Relic.

The firm also advised on more than 20 IPOs, including five of the ten largest U.S. IPOs of 2023 and the largest consumer/retail IPO of 2024, Amer Sports.
