In recognition of Davis Polk’s work on behalf of a mother and her children in a precedent-setting Hague Convention trial, Sanctuary for Families honored a team of our lawyers at its Above & Beyond Awards Ceremony on October 25, 2023. This annual awards program honors members of the legal community for their outstanding pro bono representation of survivors of gender violence.

The team included Chief Pro Bono Counsel Amelia Starr, counsel Ester del Valle Izquierdo and Head of Pro Bono Litigation Dara Sheinfeld, associates Brendan Blase, Mollie Hamel, Meredith Manning, Ryann Moelis, Maria Morris, James Park, Paul Shortell and Zoë Smith, and former associate Emma Schwartz.
