Davis Polk global M&A co-head Louis Goldberg was quoted in The American Lawyer discussing the M&A environment in 2020 and predictions for 2021. Goldberg noted that some 2020 deals were pushed through in order to avoid tax uncertainty, but that it is less of a concern now that the Senate will likely stay Republican. He also noted that due to the transition in presidential administrations, reviews for deals can become a bit more complicated.
